Magic

Magic is not known to all on Teronis. The larger populations that know magic are in Urdan. By no means does that mean all Urdan can do magic. Two purebloods have a one in three chance of having a baby that gains magic after puberty. Mixed blood parents have a one in thirty chance of birthing a magic capable child.

Magic is cast vocally or sub vocally for most types. Kallan's timebending is brought on by danger/stress. Since there will be no sequel one can assume he will gain control later on…
